Lakeside, California
Honoring Lakeside’s veterans. Building a place of remembrance.
The Lakeside Veterans Wall of Honor is a community-led effort to create a lasting public place that recognizes local military service and preserves the names of Lakeside veterans for generations to come.

Project status: The memorial is in development as planning, County coordination, fundraising, and approvals continue.
A place to remember service
The Wall of Honor would bring Lakeside’s military names together in a permanent community setting where veterans can be recognized, families can reflect, and future generations can understand their service.

A clear vision for the memorial
The current concept is a 32-foot-wide, 7-foot-tall polished concrete wall in a semicircular layout near the Lakeside Community Center at Lindo Lake Park. The interior is designed for approximately 900 memorial plaques, two benches, and a community gathering space.
The planned price for each black engraved granite plaque is $600. The amount will cover plaque production and help support future maintenance of the memorial. Plaque reservation requests are now being accepted. Eligibility and documentation will be reviewed before an approved applicant receives a $600 invoice; the reservation becomes final after payment. Veteran eligibility and donor recognition will remain separate.
